Information we collect
When you create an account, post a listing, submit a request, or contact the office, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, WhatsApp number, listing details, uploaded photos and documents, payment references or receipts, and any messages you send. We also record information needed to protect the service, such as sign-in and verification events, approximate network information, device or browser details, and actions taken on accounts, listings, payments, and office cases.
How we use information
- To show your listing to buyers and renters browsing Junuby.
- To contact you about your listing, request, payment, or verification.
- To authenticate accounts using email credentials and, when required, email verification codes.
- To review identity, ownership, authority to list, and other evidence required for an office-managed sale or a stated verification level.
- To process and reconcile payments, investigate problems, prevent fraud, enforce our terms, and respond to support requests.
What we share
We do not sell your personal information. For house and apartment rentals, owner and tenant contact details remain with authorized office staff while Junuby manages the introduction and follow-up. Enquiries about protected sales also stay with the Junuby office. Listing content, including photos, description, price, and general location, is public on the site.
We may use service providers to host the application and files, deliver email or SMS messages, and process payments. They receive only the information needed to provide the relevant service. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect a person from harm, or to investigate fraud or misuse of Junuby.
Documents and verification
Ownership documents uploaded for verification are private and available only to authorized office staff. They do not appear with public listing photos. They may be retained with the listing or office-managed case for verification, fraud prevention, dispute handling, record keeping, and applicable legal requirements.
Security
Passwords are stored as one-way salted hashes, verification challenges expire and limit repeated attempts, and office access is restricted by role. Office and administrator accounts also require a code sent to their work inbox after the correct password is entered. No online service is completely secure, so use a strong password and never share a password or verification code.
Cookies and browser storage
Junuby uses an essential HTTP-only session cookie to keep signed-in sessions working. In production it is sent only over a secure connection and is not available to page scripts. A separate interface-preference cookie may remember whether a dashboard menu is open. Neither cookie is used for advertising.
The site also uses browser storage for an unfinished listing draft, recently viewed listings, the storage-notice choice, and other interface preferences. A session-only anonymous identifier helps avoid counting repeated listing views from the same browser session as separate visitors. Junuby does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party behavioural tracking.
You can clear browser storage through your browser settings. Doing so may remove saved drafts, recently viewed history, and remembered interface preferences, and may require you to sign in again.
How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as it is needed to operate an account, listing, office case, or payment record and to meet fraud-prevention, dispute, accounting, and legal obligations. Browser-only drafts and recently viewed history remain on the device until the user or browser removes them. Retention may continue after an account or listing is closed where a record is still reasonably required.
Your choices
You can update supported account details and manage your own listings in the signed-in area. You may ask the office for access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information. These requests are reviewed rather than completed automatically, and some records may need to be retained for security, payment, dispute, or legal reasons.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service grows. We will post the new version here with an updated date.
